Top Finishers based on Performance Factor
The last column in the Performance Factor Results is the Performance Factor of all finishers with a P-Fact of 50% or better. The P-Fact is derived from the Age-Graded tables developed initally by the WMA, adopted by the USATF, and enhanced by Alan Jones (RunScore) and Chuck Phillips. The tables create an adjusted time for each age/sex combination. This time is then divided by the world standard for that age/sex at 10,000 meters to produce the Performance factor. This allows male and female runners of any age to be ranked with one another. Although just the finishers with a P-Fact of 50% are shown here you can easily calculate you own.
